Long Ashton Junior B&DGL Latest Results
Unusually our juniors were involved in two must win matches last week, Monday away at Lansdown with Sam Williams – Captain, Lewis Ault, Djib Ali, Cameron Fear and Sam Harrison and then a home match on the Tuesday against Chipping Sodbury with Sam Williams – Captain, Lewis Ault, Cameron Fear, Milan Reed and Ed Maule.
Always a difficult one when you have a home and away together to adjust to the different types of greens but fortunately the boys did brilliantly putting them in 2nd place in the league and they are just waiting on another result to see if they will make the semi-finals so fingers crossed.
They won 3-2 at Lansdown and then won 4-1 at home v Chipping Sodbury and a special mention to Ed who played his debut match for the team and won 4&3 – great result all round and well played all of you and thank you for representing the club.
We are looking forward to seeing a lot of new juniors moving into the teams next year as some of our older ones move into men’s golf and it looks like a few girls will be amongst them soon.
