The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf, and Spa has been named amongst the National Club Golfer Top 100 GB&I Resorts.
The resort in Blackawton has achieved 59th in the rankings of The National Club Golfer Top 100 GB&I Resorts, which is widely recognised as one of the most authoritative measurements for golfing standards. From a shortlist of 200 courses, which includes a mix of links, heathland, and parkland resort venues, the final 100 are selected. A rigorous scoring system determines the rankings, which result from golf course inspection visits by the National Club Golfer team.
The award comes in a busy year for the Club. Stuart Barrett, one of the most highly regarded PGA golf pros in the southwest of England, joined the team earlier this year and the development of a new golf practice range is planned to open in June 2024. The team has been further strengthened by a new assistant PGA professional Matt Handley and the resort’s resident fully qualified PGA professional Rhiannon Thomas.
Ian Davies, general manager of The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf and Spa said: “To receive a ranking from National Club Golfer for the first time, is a fantastic achievement. Being positioned in a collection of the leading, premier golf venues in the UK is a testament to the hard work of our hotel and golf teams. To have that commitment recognised in this way is extremely rewarding. “
The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf, and Spa is owned and managed by Vine Hotels, a UK-based hotel management and development company.
