Kirtlington Golf Club is a thriving, family run course, nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire, only 10 minutes away from Bicester and the M40 J9. It’s location enables a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of its local towns and cities. There are also extensive practice facilities and a 15 bay outdoor/indoor driving range.
With 27 picturesque holes which includes ‘The Kirtlington’ 18 Hole Course and ‘The Blenheim’ 9 Hole Course we play on full greens and tees all year round which is a fantastic benefit to golf in the out of season months.
The course was designed and created in 1995 and has remained in the family ever since. The 18-hole inland links designed Kirtlington Course starts each loop with a generous Par Five. Standout holes include the 3rd, a Par Four played to a green set in the most picturesque part of the course, beside the Oxford Canal. The next is a two-tiered split fairway on the 6th; the 12th, a short uphill Par Four with water on the right. The 14th provides another short Par Four with danger left, played to a green protected by trees. The 16th, with its Muirfield-style ‘island’ bunker and the 17th with its Alister MacKenzie-style two-tier green which drops at the back and finally the downhill 18th, a Par Four where over-hit approaches will find a colossal bunker, one of the largest in England.
The second course at Kirtlington Golf Club is the 9 hole Blenheim which boasts three Par Fours and six Par Threes and is an authentic test for any golfer. The uphill 1st is a highlight, with wonderful views from the green. A sequence of four Par threes brings your round to a close, each offering target golf and the chance of a birdie.
Our society packages have always proved popular at the club and we welcome groups back year on year following successful golf days over the last 25 years. Our head chef has created a selection of hearty menus especially for society days to enjoy. We offer an extensive menu with a range of scrumptious starters and delicious desserts all made with fresh local ingredients. We can also provide a BBQ which is very popular with our summer society groups.
