Is Sir Gavin Williamson hatching a plan?

Sir Gavin Williamson MP found himself back in familiar territory last week, surrounded by dinosaurs at the newly opened Jurassic Creek Adventure Golf Course in his Staffordshire South constituency.

Sir Gavin has been a huge supporter of the award-winning 3 Hammers Golf Complex, where the Adventure Golf Course is located, and was more than happy to pull up his sleeves to play the course which includes a swing bridge, a Pterodactyl waterfall, a meandering river and 8 animated dinosaurs.

Sir Gavin said: “I thoroughly enjoyed putting my golf skills to the test on the brand-new Jurassic Creek course. The 3 Hammers team have done a wonderful job in designing and delivering such an entertaining facility, and I am sure many of my constituents cannot wait to pay it a visit. It is fantastic to see that South Staffordshire’s tourism industry is thriving and I will continue to do my utmost to support this vibrant and dynamic sector.”

The new Jurassic Creek Adventure Golf Course was opened just a few weeks ago and is already bringing thousands of new people into the Staffordshire venue as well as creating jobs in the region. The life size animated dinosaurs, which can be seen from the main road, sit in a Jurassic world including a river that meanders through the 18-hole course and an impressive waterfall, which is now home to the 3 Hammers pterodactyl!

“Gavin was such a good sport!” comments Ian Bonser, owner of the 3 Hammers.  “He has always supported the work we do here and he values the contribution that our business makes to the community we serve here in Wolverhampton.  We’re also attracting people from outside the area which is hugely important for the local economy.  Our facility is an ideal destination for groups or families looking for a fun day out, great food and a drink in the sunshine.”

Uniquely, 3 Hammers offers a combination of golf experiences that caters to all levels.  With a driving range, short course and full PGA Staff, there is a clear pathway for people to learn and develop their game without the pressures of a formal golf setting.  As a result, 3 Hammers has already enjoyed incredible success with the likes of Tour winner Aaron Rai and Me and My Golf stars Andy and Piers rising through its ranks.
