Frilford Heath Golf Club
Frilford Heath is Oxfordshire’s finest golf club, and one of the best in the south of England. Along with Woburn and Wentworth, it is one of very few clubs with three championship standard golf courses – 54 holes of top quality golf!
Situated on over 500 acres of glorious undulating heathland and just south of the City of Oxford, Frilford Heath is built on a sandy subsoil which when combined with the latest equipment and maintenance schedules enables the Club to present the courses to the finest playing standards all year round.
The club’s land is primarily on a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a recent programme of heather regeneration has seen a revival of the indigenous heathland flora and fauna.
Frilford’s Red course was designed by five-times Open champion JH Taylor, whose
other courses include Royal Birkdale and Royal Mid-Surrey. We continue to
attract major amateur events organised by the Royal and Ancient, European Tour,
England Golf and most recently the England v France match in 2008, our centenary
year, and in July 2013 the English Amateur Championships over the Red and Blue
The club has a thriving membership and welcomes visitors who come to enjoy warm hospitality, excellent catering and some of the best golf around.
