Nestled between two of Somerset’s three links courses, Brean Golf Club offers a very different proposition to its neighbours. Although located only half a mile from the North Somerset coastline the course it is not of a linksland nature but is flat and therefore very easy walking. The course, which is fast becoming one of the counties hidden golfing gems, puts the emphasis on a player using their course management skills to the max to navigate the 5,600yd layout.
Over the past 15 years significant investment has been made into the course which now boasts the spectacular Brean Country Club with its stunning views over the Somerset countryside as its clubhouse base. The 18 hole layout is set out amongst the natural rhyne strewn former farmland where the Somerset Levels reach the Bristol Channel and has matured into an excellent test of golf for all abilities of golfer yet still remains very playable for everyone. Brean Golf Club is part of the Brean Leisure Park complex which can offer various forms of accommodation for those wishing to turn 18 holes of golf into something more. The latest addition to these offerings are the superbly appointed Lodges which surround the 18th green and overlook the back nine of the golf course. With easy access from the M5 Junction 22 it also becoming a very popular Society venue and can offer packages to suit any groups budget but which ever package is chosen the standard warm Brean welcome is assured for everyone!
