Our Par 70 parkland course features tight tree lined fairways, water hazards and fast true greens, and is widely considered to be one of the finest in the county by amateurs and professionals alike.
Originally established in 1891 we are proud to be one of the oldest clubs in Essex, but also one of the most modern.
The course is playable throughout the year, with tees and greens in operation at all times.
Visitors and societies are made very welcome on weekdays throughout the year.
There has never been a better time to join Braintree Golf Club with no joining fees and great course playability all year round. Braintree Golf Club is widely considered to be one of the finest in Essex by amateurs and professionals alike. In a recent survey of club members 99% of respondents said they would recommend the club to their friends.
Over the last 2 years the club has invested over £300,000 on new irrigation, tees redevelopment, new green keeping equipment and extra staff to cover course maintenance all year round. The club has also entered into a 5 year course improvement programme with STRI – the world’s leading authority on the design, construction and maintenance of golf greens and courses. Over 80% of club members in the recent survey rated the greens as excellent and the quality of the course continues to be the top reason why members join.
Braintree Golf Club have a wide range of membership categories and all sections including seniors, ladies and juniors have active social and playing programmes throughout the year.
