The South Buckinghamshire Welcomes Its New Captain
Peter Golunski, Captain of The South Buckinghamshire for 2014/15, saw his year come to an end on Saturday 28 March with his Captain’s Day being held in aid of Help for Heroes and South Bucks District Council’s Chairman’s Community Fund, the event was a great success with a total of £1,100 raised for the two charities.
18 teams played the 18 hole Colt/Hawtree course for a good cause and enjoyed a buffet lunch in the Oak Room. The day ended with prizes for the winning teams, with the event being won by Broadies Belles with a score of 82 points, 3 points ahead of their nearest challengers.
Rishi Sidhu was welcomed as Captain of The South Buckinghamshire Golf Club on 1 April, and his year started with his ‘Drive In’ on Saturday 25 April, when he hit a great drive off the first tee in front of a number of fellow members of The South Buckinghamshire. His nominated charity for this year is Buckinghamshire Mind, further details on the charity can be found on www.bucksmind.org.uk.
