The Astbury host Wolves FC and Aston Martin
We were once again delighted to hold the Wolverhampton Wanderers Golf day here at The Astbury for the 3rd consecutive year
Head Coach Kenny Jackett, members of the backroom staff and several players were among those taking to the course for the annual event, with director John Gough and vice-president Steve Bull also featuring.
Those players not actually playing 18 holes were also in attendance to provide ‘support’ for their colleagues, and also took the chance to try their skills on a mobile simulator provided by Shrosbree Golf.
“Events like these are very important to ensure the lads get out and about and meet the fans,” said Head Coach Kenny Jackett.
“Golf is a very social sport and it is a day where it is very easy to interact.
“It’s a really enjoyable day for the players and the supporters.
“It’s a day away from the training ground before we are back in tomorrow to continue preparations for Bolton and the next batch of games to come.”
The event was sponsored by Altodigital and Kyocera with associate sponsors MAC Surfacing Ltd and Zeel Solutions.
The Astbury also played host to Aston Martin inaugural golf day last month, many local business owners joined Rock Legend K.K Downing for the day to combine their love for golf and cars.
Aston Martin provided 5 of their best cars including the high profile Vanquish and DB9 models alongside their luxury display trailer.
The day was a huge success with many spectators enjoying the beautiful course and cars!
