PRESIDENT PAULINE SETS NEW NOGC COURSE RECORD

North Oxford Lady President Pauline Sydenham has set up a new record on her home course with a storming eight under par medal round.

In winning an English Women's Golf Association medal competition 13 handicapper Pauline notched up a 75 gross score on the newly lengthened parkland 70 standard scratch course.

She said: "It was the best round I have ever had.

"Our course, which is in top condition, is perfect for ladies golf. It demands accuracy and is a great challenge."

Pauline, a former Lady Captain, joined the club in 1985, represents North Oxford in ladies and mixed matches. Click here for more news on North Oxford Golf Club

BB&O County Development officer Justine Voss (Lawrence) shot a gross 74 for two over par and runners-up spot at the innaugural EWGA Grand Medal Final at The Worcestershire Golf Club.

HINKSEY WIN NOGC LADIES OPEN HINKSEY WIN NOGC LADIES OPEN
A team led by former Hinksey Heights lady captain Christine Clark won the North Oxford Golf Club Ladies 2010 Open on Friday (16 April 2010).

Eighty-four players from 16 different clubs in the region vied for the prestigious title and the Hinksey winning team of Christine Clark, Sandy Witcomb and Tricia Wiley scored 87 points to win the stapleford three ball Alliance competition, where the two combined top scores were counted.

Leighton Davies receives his green jacket and trophy from captain John Barr after winning the Kirtlington Masters.

Davies stormed to victory with a nett seven-under-par second round, which saw him beat Duncan Cooper by three shots.
