Bramshaw Golf Club Prepares For Their Junior “Manor Masters” Open In October

Bramshaw Golf Club, New Forest, 16 October 2018 – As the competition season draws to a close, the Junior Section at Bramshaw Golf Club are preparing for their biggest competition of the year – the ‘Manor Masters’ Junior Open – to be held on Monday 22 October 2018.

In keeping with previous years, the team at Bramshaw are keen to ensure another enjoyable day supported by parents and family members. In addition to the normal Junior Open, the growing number of younger, higher handicap juniors are having the opportunity to play in the ‘Mini-Masters’. This is a 9-hole stable ford competition, arranged to follow on, immediately after the Manor Masters.

Posters promoting the Masters Junior Open have been sent to 70 clubs in the area as well as emails to previous participants. Entries for the Manor Masters have closed, but there are still one or two places available in the ‘Min-Masters’, designed for 28-54 handicap juniors playing from the Junior Course Blue, Red or Yellow tees.

Nev James, Junior Organiser at Bramshaw says “It is great to see juniors and their supporters enjoy the day at Bramshaw, playing golf on a quality course at great value. Together with the support of parents and family members, it’s one of the most enjoyable events in the area for junior golfers and the reason why we hold it year after year. We’re extremely proud of the Junior section we’re building here at Bramshaw and are working hard with the local community to bring young people into the game”.

The Club’s Junior Open comes off the back of a very successful year that saw Bramshaw Juniors win the Home Nations Trophy, representing England in Portugal in March. This was followed up by successfully defending the Hampshire Junior League title.

Bramshaw’s Junior Section has grown steadily since 2009 developing into a thriving and active part of the Club, heavily supported by the Club’s Management, Committee, Members, the Assistant Pro and Junior Organiser.

It’s also a Golf Roots Centre supporting initiatives to help golf in the community, firmly establishing Bramshaw as a family-friendly club.

Anyone wishing to enter the Bramshaw ‘Mini-Masters’ should contact Nev James on 02380-862647 or 07791- 391631 before Friday 19 October 2018.
